CREATIVE RISE CORNWALL 2025
An early career artist development programme for dance and theatre artists, established by Katie Lusby. The two week physical theatre LAB invited guest artists to host workshops for a cohort of 12. Working with Joseph Lynch, Tom Jackson Greaves, Solène Weinachter and Fernanda Prata, the cohort developed their physical theatre skillset. Exploring skills in storytelling, character development and clowning; the cohort collaborated across art forms to connect the voice and body.
The second week consisted of devising collectively as a cohort, making a performance to showcase the two weeks. Post performance, Dicky Souray hosted a talk and Q&A where performers were able to discuss the challenges of being an early career artist, especially in Cornwall.
Creative Rise is ongoing through 6 months of support and mentorship from industry professionals with regular meet ups and checkins with the cohort and Katie.
