Amelie is a theatre maker who embraces a total theatre approach in her work, specialising in playful and dynamic physical theatre. She also enjoys working with puppetry, costume and set design. Amelie has become passionate about working with communities, using verbatim theatre to create platforms for their voices to be heard. Now a co-director of emerging theatre company ‘Oranges for Sharing’, Amelie is broadening her experience.
Amelie is currently developing her solo show, 'Inventing Tesla' and working to develop an installation piece, exploring what home feels like through shared stories, memories and objects.
This year Amelie is part of the first cohort of Creative Rise Cornwall 2025, an artist development programme designed to support early career dance and theatre artists in Cornwall. The programme consists of a 2 week physical theatre LAB and 6 months of ongoing mentorships with industry professionals.
